Introducing PaletteForge
The product launch story behind a style-transfer tool made for indie game art.
Introducing PaletteForge
PaletteForge exists because too many indie teams buy five excellent asset packs and end up with one ugly composite. The packs are good. The styles are incompatible.
PaletteForge fixes that narrow but expensive problem:
- Upload a sprite sheet or pack.
- Choose a house style.
- Export art that looks intentionally unified.
What makes this different
Most tools stop at palette browsing or manual editing. PaletteForge treats style transfer as the core job, not a side panel.
- Presets pair palettes with conversion defaults.
- Batch jobs make whole-pack processing realistic.
- The API lets teams run conversions inside build pipelines.
Local-first demo mode
This build ships with a full in-memory fallback store so the app works without a database, billing provider, or blob storage. That keeps development tight and lets the golden path stay testable.
